TRANSTORNO OBSESIVO COMPULSIVO
El trastorno obsesivo-compulsivo (OCD) [siglas corresponden el nombre en inglés], uno de los trastornos de ansiedad, es una condición que es potencialmente debilitante y que puede perdurar a través de la vida de una persona. El individuo que padece de OCD se vuelve atrapado en un esquema de pensamientos y conductas repetitivas que carecen de sentido y que son angustiantes, pero que son muy difíciles de vencer. OCD ocurre dentro de una gama de leve a severo, pero si es severo y no se trata, puede destruir la capacidad de una persona para funcionar en el trabajo, la escuela, o hasta en la casa.
